TAUPIRI.

The goods shed at Taupiri station, which was put up same shoit time ago, is now so oveiciowded with goods, as to put many .settlers to serious inconvenience. It is a atiange want of foresight on the part of the anthontics not to have made the shed, a little laiger while they were about it. The new hotel which is being built by Mr Lovell, opposite the railway station, has been at a standstill for the past week, owing to the want of timber. On .Saturday last the Taupiri Sports Committee held a meeting for the purpose of settling up their accounts, and it was found that after paying all expenses they had a balance in hand of £4 Is 3d, which is highly creditable. There were present : —Messrs Lovell, Timmins, Spong and Walford.— ( Correspondent, April 7.)
