Gas.
Nbab the stalactite caves in the National Park there is a poisonous gas tube very properly named Stynan Cave, where birds drop dead in merely flying over its mouth. It is most beautiful to the eye. The crystalline pendants are of a very deep emerald. But the sulphurous gases are inimical to life. Small animals taking shelter therein perish immediately.—San Francisco Bulletin.
