DUNEDIN, Friday.
Major Cantley is expected to arrive tonight, and the Governor will go dowa the harbour to-moirow to make an inspection in connection with defence, HJs Excellency was on the ground for a short time at the Blueskin Show, having been on a visit to the hon, G. McLean, in the neighbourhood. It is state I that the Kakanui, a locallyowned steamer is ashore to day at the Bluff. No declarations of insolvency were filed this month.
