CRICKET. Alexandra v. Watawhata.
This match, which resulted in an easy victory in one innings for the Alexandra team, was played at Whatawhata on Saturday last. The weather was rather unfavourable for ciicketing, being windy. The wickets were pitched at 11 a. in., and Alexandra having won the toss, decided to put Whatawhata in fh\st. The ciicketers adjourned at 2 o'clock to Mr George'.s Hotel, where a very nice luncheon was laid out, which was done ample justice to. Subjoined are the scores :—: — WHATAWHATA.
