(Receded December, 14,- 12.20 p.m.) - The War in the Soudan. Cairo, December 13. Baker Pasjia ia now engaged organising au Egyptian force to operate against the iSoudan lebels. His force will be composed of Egyptian gendarmes, negro tioops, and a contingent of Bedouin Arabs.
The Fisheries Exhibition. London, December 13. A meeting of persons interested in the late International Fisheries Exhibition was held at the Cannon-street Hotel last night. Much dissatisfaction Mas oxpressed at the awards of the juries, and it was resolved that a. deputation should wait upon the Government to protest against the same.
(Received December 14, 4.5 p.m.) N.S.W. Loan. London, De ember 13. The issue of the loan of three millions for the New South Wales Government, bearing interest 4 per cent. , is announced to-day. The minimum price is fixed at par.
El Mahdi's Force. Cairo, December 13. Latest intelligence to hand from the Soudan, is to the eff -ot that the inunensK body of Arabs which Xl Mahdi had recently under his command has greatly decreased, and that a large number of his adherents ate thspovt-ing.
Preparations for War in China. HoX(i Kumj, December 13. Information has been received irom Canton that the fortifications surrounding that city have been put in complete readiness to withstand attacks if an outbreak of war should occur, and that strong bodies of troops are posted in the neighbourhood of the city.
