WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The meat which was being frozen hero for shipment by the Triumph numbers 3500 carcases of mutton, and this will bo shipped by the steamer Victory, due here in a few days. The steamer Rewatiri, which wont ashore at We.stport yebterday, was got off to-day. Not the slightest damage was done.
DUNEDIN, Wednesday. The body of a man, much decomposed, was found last Friday on an island on the east side of the Clutha River, about 500 yards north of the Pomakako mouth. It is supposed to bo the body of John White, butter known as "Bogden," who threw himself into the Molyneaux ou October 10th last.
