APPLICATION TO FORM A WATERRACE.

Warden's Office, Te Aroha, 20th November, 1883. APPLICATION has been made to me by PETER FERGUSON for permission to Construct a Water Race for Mining Purposes, commencing at a point marked by a peg ou a tributary of the Waioi'ongomai Creek, near the Prince Imperial Claim ; and at a point marked by a peg on a tributary of thn Waiorongmai Creek near the Argyle Claim, and converging from both points towards a peg near a branch creek on the Plmnik Claim, the termination of the Race ; Race to include all streams and tributaries between the points mentioned. The length of such Race i? one mile, and its intended course is north and south. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is Iwo Feet by One Foot, and it is capable of cariying 4 Sluice Heads of water and the number of sluice heads which it is intended to appropriate is Four. Notice is therefore given that on the 20th day of DECEMBER, ISB3, a License will be granted to the abovenamed Peter Ferguson for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime m.xde in writing and lodged at this Office not less than seven clear days before that date.
