THE ERRENFRIED-GUDGEON CASE. [BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRESPONDENT].

Auckland, Last Night. (trkat interest was manifested in the Khrcufried-Oiulgeon trial at the Supreme Court to-day. The evidence for the prosecution was very similar to that t.iken before the Magistrate, but duiing Mrs Ehrenfrled's cross-examination two letters, •written by her to her cousin, Bertha Davis, were put in evidence. In those prosecutrix begged Miss Davis to deny to anyone that asked her about it, that she had ever seen prosecutrix walking alone with Gudgeon. For the defence Miss Davis deposed that on one occasion she discovered Gudgeon and Mrs Ehrenfried alone in a dark room, in a very equivocal position. The case is expected to conclude to-morrow.
