WELLINGTON, Last Night At the Supreme CoHrt,- to-day, Robert Littlecox, convicted o£ stealing a horse, cheques, &c, was sentenced to six years. James Jonathan Adams, and Geneveve Elizabeth Adams, his daughter, were indicted on a charge of ' falsely conspiring with others on the 28th February, 1880, to wrongfully charge Geo. Longhurst with having, on the loth February, carnally abused Genereve Elizabeth Adams. The case occupied all day, and is not expected to conclude before to-morrow night.
DUNE DIN, Last Night. The Daily Times company lias declared an interim dividend of seven per cent. A Deep Sea Fishing Public Company is being floated here. The Health Officer's report shows an alarming increase of sparlet fever during the last month. Twenty-four cases have been reported.
INVEROARGILL, Last Night. A sad accident lias happened on the Mataura river. Two young men named John and William Smith were coming down in a boat, when a squall struck her, and she capsized. John Smith managed to reach the shore, but William was drowned.
