Dead Shot, by Ravpnsworth (imp.)— Certainty, by II Barbiere — Chance, by Sir Hercules — Finesse, Ravensworth (imp.), by Touchstone—Fair Jean.— See Stud Book. Leandeb has two crosses of the grand Sir Hercules blood, which has proved to be the best that has ever been in the colonies ; and he ia very closely related to the celebrated horses Grand Flaneur and Progress, and many other good horses. — Dead Shot is the sire of the well-known Mata. Bay, foaled June 1874, Sire Grand Duke (366) C.S.B, Dam, Mary of Drumflower, by Loch Fergus Champion (449), First at " Stanraer, and First at Great Union Show at Dumfries. Grand Duke (366) Bred by Lawrence Brew Esq., of Merryton, got by Sir Walter Scott (797), his Dam by Lothian Tarn (500). Grand Duke travelled Alloa District in 1871, Haddington 1872, and Stanraer 1873. The above Horse will travel through Tamahere and the Hamilton District under charge of Mr Thomas Dinsdale. " STAR AND GARTER." Brown, purchased from David Rid dell, Esq., Black Hall, Paisley. Sire, Royal Prince (732), C.5.8., who gained First Prize at Glasgow as a Three- Year Old ; Second Prize at the Highland Society's Show ; also £100 premium from the Linhlhgow Society. Royal Prince (732), C.5.8., is by Prince of Wales (673) C.5.8., the property of L. Drew, Esq., Merryton. .Star and Garter's Dam was by Black Prince (52) C.5.8., who took the First Premium at the Highland Society's Show, Perth, and First Premium at the Linlithgow Society's Show. The above Horse will travel thiough Pukerimu, Rangiaohia, Kihikihi, and Te Awamutu, in charge of Mr John Sutherland. "BLAIR ATHOLE." Bay, purchased from Lord Dunmore. Sire, Lord Clyde (482) Clydesdale Studbook. Blair Athole won in IS7S, when a Yearling, First Prizes at Ayr, at Stirling, and at the Highland Society's Show at Dumfries ; also as a Two-year-old in 1879, Third Prizes at Ayr and a Glasgow : First at Stirling, and Fourth at the London International Meeting of the Royal Agricultural Society of England at Kilburn. "DARNLEY." Bay, foaled Ist May, 1879, got by Darnley (No. 222), Clydesdale Stud-bcok. Dam, The Countess by Knockdon (441), Clydesdale Stud-book, who gained the Auchterarder Premium. He was got by Campsie (119), who was a Highland Society's winner at Kelso, and many other premiums. Darnley (222) is by Conqueror (119), Dam, Pesrgy, by Samson alias Logairs Tom (741). He won Second prize at the Highland Society's Show at Stirling in 1873. The Premiums of the Glasgow Agricultural Society in 1876 and 1877, First Prize at the Highland Society's Show at Edinburgh in 1577 ; and the Champion Guy at the Highland and Agricultural Society's Show at Dumfries 1878, and many other prizes since, &c, &c. The above two will Stand at Fen Court.
