NOTICE. \ DVERTISEMENT appearing in XX. Thursday's isßue, calling for men to be enrolled for active service in the A.C. Force at Cambridge on Tuesday next is cancelled. "PUBLIC NOTIFICATION. A "MEETING of Ratepayers of the Kirikiriroa Highway District will be held at the Waikato County Council Chambers, Hamilton East, on Saturday, the 15th inst., at 3 o'clock p.m., for the purpose of considering a proposal made by the Road Board Trustees to stop a road at Kiddle s Hill, particulars of which have been advertised weekly since 16th July. PUBLIC NOTIFICATION. TO Ratepayers of the Kirikiriroa Highway District. T.ike Notice that the Road Board Trustees propose, under provisions contained in Section 4 of the " Public Works Act, 1880," to CLOSE A ROAD running through Lots 43 and 55, and to take land for the purpose of opening a new road thiough Lots 42 and 55, Parish of Kirikiriroa. Plans and description of the above deviation of road may be inspected at the residence of the undersigned for 12 weeks from this date. JAS. McPHERSON, Secretary, Kirikiriroa Highway Board. TO CONTRACTORS. HHENDERS endorsed " Tender for road JL work," will be received by the Kirikiriroa Highway Board, up to noon of Wednesday, the sth October next, for some four or fiye miles of road forming and draining on the Hukanui-Taupiri road. Mr John Davies will meet intending Contractors at the farm of Mr T. H. White, Taupiri, on Monday, the 3rd of October, at 11 a.m., to show the work. JAS. PIRONGIA HIGHWAY DISTRICT. NOTICE is hereby given that the Pirongia District Board intend on the Bth day of October next, to make a rate of One Shilling in the Pound on the rateable value for the year ending 3 1st Morch, 1882 ; that the said rate will be payable in one sum on the Ist day of November, 1881, at the residence of Mr Tames Sherret, Harapepe ; and that the ratebook is open for inspection at the same place. HAMILTON RAILWAY BRIDGE CONTRACT. Public Works Offico, Wellington, 3rd September, ISBI. WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this Office until NOON on WEDNESDAY, the 12th October, 1881, for the above contract. They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and marked outside "Tender for Hamilton Railway Bridge Contract," and accompanied by a cheque on some bank in the town where the tender is lodged ; such cheque to be specially marked by a banker as good for twenty-one days, and to be m favour of the Receiver- Gcno al\ Deposit Account only, and not to bearer or order. Plans and specifications may be seen at the Public Woi!<B Offices, Auckland, Grabamstown, Wanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and at the Railway Manager's Office, Napier. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by NOON of the same date, previded that written tenders in due form are lodged at a District or a Resident Engineer's Office by the same hour.
