CAMBRIDGE CRICKET CLUB.

Tiik adjourned annual meeting of this Club was liclcl at the Duke of Cambridge Hotel on Wednesday evening last, Mr J. P. Campbell in the chair. There wa3 a pretty fair attendance of members. The annual brilsinee-sheet was sub- r mitted by the secretary, and adopted. £ Election of Officers. s The following officer* were then sleeted for the ensnii'g year:— Dr Waddington, President ; Major Wilson, Vice President ; Mr H. E. Cotton, Captain, and Mr Rhodes, Secretary. The following gentlemen were elected committee : Messrs C. E. Pear-on, R. Kirkwood. H. W. Moore, Chitty, and ,T. TVT. Speed. The following were elected as a, Match Committee, Meaass Cotton, Rhodes and Cooper. New Ground. A lengthly discussion was entered upon re the Club's new ground near Sharp's nursery, and it was ultimately resolved to leave the ir.atter entirely in the hands of the Committee. It was then resolved that Thursday evening at 4 o'clock should be the hour and day for practice. The Cricket Association. The Club entered into a long discussion on the matter of countenancing the effort now on foot to organise a cricket association for Waikato, as advocated by the Waikato Times. It was unanimously agreed that the idea was a good one, and that Messrs Cotton and Rhodes were appointed delegates to meet the delegates of other clubs at Ohaupo to consult on the matter. This terminated the business and the meeting dispersed.
