Kihikihi, July 1, 1881
rpo THE ELECTORS OF WAIPA
Gentlemen, —In iriirness to my numerons friends and supporters in the Waipa Electorate 1 think it right to inform you that I shall be a candidate for your suffrages at the coming general election. lam aware, that it is unusual to announce such an intention at a date fao early as the present, but I am driven into the position by the rumoi>> that .ne being so industriously circulated thioughout the district at the present time. As to the question of how lar it is advisable thus to weaken the hands of a repiesentative during the sitting of the House, I shall have more to bay presently.— I am, etc., F. A. WHITAKER.
