.London, August 4. — Consols have declined to sot»s. New Zealand securities are .it the following quotations :: — 5 per cent. 10-40 lo.m, 105; the S per cent. 1889 loan, 104^ ; the 4$ per cent. 18791904 loan, ioi^, ex div. The total reserve of notes and bullion in the Hank of England is £13,250,000. The bank rate ol discount is 2}, per cent. ; the market rate has been reduced to 1%. Ihe wheat market is steady. Adelaide wheat, ex warebousc, is 48b ; Adelaide flour, ex warchouscjjis 34s od ; New Zealand wheat, ex ship, is 48t ud. Australian tallow is flat. Best beef is 34s 6d ; best mutton, 365. Adelaide •wheat, ex warehouse, has advanced 6d to 48s 6d ; IJew Zealand wheat, ex ship, remains at 48s 6d ; Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, has advanced to 355. Australian tallow : Best beef, 34s 6J ; best mutton advanced 6d per cwt., 36s 6d. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1,660,000 quarters. The stock of tallow in London on the Ist instant was 19,500 casks.
