MURDER AT HOKITIKA.
(by tblegbaph press association.) Hokitika, Tuesday. At^t&t^ Suftttmo Court to-day, David Hqtajtf^*® 13 ' a miner, was indicted for the xatt^oMl^ 8 wife ' ..Margaret Hutohinson. Mro^i (Crown Prosecutor) and Mr. G-biimmfl appeared for the Crown, and Mr. Parkiss for the defendant. Two witnesses vere examined when the Court rose at 6 p.m. The evidence, as far as it show*, ia that orithe night of the 29th November fchff prisoner's nouse was burned, his wife, and taby *^<J * our month*, being burned to death. * One witness deposed to hearing Bcream* from the prisoner's house, also a noise of thado, and. heard the deceased my, '^'Bavy, ]?avy, what are you going to do!" Thli was about midnight, and by 3'B.tt'.thehoiisewa,B burned. ' The trial mil befeemned at ID o'clock to-mprrw.
