The Messrs Alartyn naving aisposeu 01 ;i portion nf their fine estate, known :is Pcncariow, in the H mtapu district, Mi J.S. Burkland v.ill hold a s ile of c.ittlc, sheep, hordes, household furniture, &c, on Tuesday* and Wednesday next. On the iif.t-n.imcd d.iy 900 head of cattle and 1000 longwoolled sheep will be submitted to the hammer, in the yards, adjoining the late residence of Mr John Martyn, and on the following day 50 well-bred young hoises, together with the household furniture, farming implements, &c, will be sold at Pencarrow. Ihe whole of the stock to be offered at this, the largest sale of the kind ever held in the provim c, are weil-bred and in splendid < ondition. Ihe horses are well-known, haung all been bred by the Messrs Martyn on the estate. I' or the convenience of those living in the neighbourhood of Cambridge, Mr Carter will run a coach to the sale on both days, leaving Cambridge at 11 a.m., and returning at the close ol the sale. Aucki \vn CAiriK Markkt.— Mr. Alfred Auckland's Weekly Report : At the Haymarket, or FndAy last, bonedust brought £7 per ton wholesale ; hay, 2s 6d to 3s 6d per cwt. ; and ordinary horse stork were at late values. 'Ihe raring stot k occasioned a large attendance, lhose of Mr. Farmer brought respectively— Paramena, 161 guineas , Rewi, 120 guineas; and Florence, 37 guineas The others were withdrawn. On Tuesday hides and skius were in moderate supply only. Hides brought from 3^ to 3? perlb. ; tallow, 19s per cwt. ; pelts, 8d to is id ; sheepskins, is 4d to 5s tod each ; washed wool, 12 |d; greasy wool, 8d to Bid per lb Ihe cattle sates at Waiuku and Pukekohe, were fully snpplied with store cattle of all classes. Late rains h.ivingimproved the pastures, there was good competition, and all brought forward sold at satisfactory prices. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were in short supply, and at prcwous values. Store cattle dull of sale. Fat cattle in full numbers— l4s head sold; last week's prices from 23s to 25s the loolbs, tor good medium weight, was sustained. Heavy cattle .111 ' I second quality from 225. Sheep were penned in full numbers, and fell in price slightly as the sale proceeded. Ewes were at 2d ; wethers, 2jd, the lb. Lambs plentiful, and at last week's values. Average for cattle werr:— Ten steers, A. Stewart, £8 10s 6d ; 8 steers, A. V/estney, /~8 !os ; 7 steers, S. Steele, £7 16s od ; 8 steers, R. Burke, £7 10s 6d ; 20 head, J. On Friday bidding at auc tion was brisker, and for some horses held over from the previous week, a < oiuidcrable advance was obtained. Cattle. — The 111 uket has been well supplied, and a steady demand has ousted. The Newmarket Yards, on Tuesday, were well filled with all descriptions ; bidding w.is brisk throughout, and prices were sustained for stores and fat beasts, but dairy stock were a shade lower. At Pukekohe, on Wednesday, notwithstanding the heavy downpour of rain, there was a good muster of stock and a large atter-dance, competition being keen throughout the sale. We quote daisy cows from £6 17s 6d to £() i^s, c.ihes tioni £t 10s to £2 7s, jearlings from £2 10s to £3 ss, two-) ear-old heifers from £4 12-. 6d, steers from £3 15s to £4 17' 6d, grown steers £5 2s 6d to £6, beef 27s per ioolbs. Sheep.— There has been a good supply and corresponding demand, and prices had a slightly upward tendency. Wethers sold at fiom 12s 6d to 17s, ewes ios6dto 12s; lambs were plentiful, and sold at from 6s Od to 13s. Pigs.— Very few yarded.
