Maiden Plate, of 60 boys. Distance, one and a-half milea. Entrance, 3 sovb. Open to all horses that have never won an advertised race exceeding £25 in value ; winner of any such race after entry to carry 71b. penalty. Weight for age.

Turf Club Handicap, of 100 soys., with a sweepstake of 5 soys. each added ; second horse, 10 soys. ; third horse, 5 sovb. out of stake?. Distance, two miles. Nomination, 2 soYf. ; acceptance, 5 soys.

President's Stakes, of 35 soys. Distance, one and a-quarter miles. Weight for age. Entrance, 1\ soys. Winner of Maiden Plate t» enrry 71b. penalty.

Publicans' Purse Handicap, of 50 sove., with a sweepstake of 2 soys. each for starters to go to second horse. Nomination, 1 toy. Acceptance, 2] soys. Distance, H miles. Weights at 8 p.m. Thursday, February 17.

Consolation Handicap, of 20 soys.; Ip miles. Nomination, 1 boy. Acceptauce, 1 ho\.

Selling Hack Race, of 15 soy. ; l miles Weight, 10 stone. Winner to be sold for 20 iiovs. ; surplus to Raoe Fund. Post entries, 10s. Horses to take their age from Ist August. Nominations for Handicaps to be sent to the Secretary Waikato Turf Club, Hamilton, on or before Wednesday, Febiuary 2, 1881, at 8 o'clock p.m. Entries for Maiden Plate and Pres'dent's Stakes close on Friday, February 11, at 8 o'clock p.m. Weights will be published on Thursday, February 3. Acceptances and general entries will be received up to Friday, February 11. Entrance money enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of horse, and colours of rider. Weii/hts for Publicans' Purse, Thursday, February 17, at 8 o'clock p.m. Acceptances before first race second day.

No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition : That all dispute.-, claims, nnd objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of * the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision npon all points connected -with carrying out of this programme shall be final. All Races to be run under the V.R.C. Rules. Any Jockey riding except in the color entered will be fined 3 soys. No entry will be received on any pretence whatever after the hour named, or without being accompanied by the Decenary amount of eat>h, Auckland cheques carry exchange. All persons intending to withdraw horses are requested to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales, one half- hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine, not exceeding 5 soys. to the Kacc Fund. All piotestsmust be accompanied with a deposit of 5 e ovs., which sum will be forfeited to the Race Fund if the protest is not sustained. Owners o£ Horses who are not Members of the Club, pay 1 soy. qualification. Horses walking over, will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes.
