Hercules is a bay horse, 8 years old, and stands 15^ hands high, combines the best of blood with good bone and immense power, and has proved himself a good horsoon the turf. At the Canterbury meeting in 1876, won the Grand Stand Handicap, 1 mile, in 1 mm. 50 sees., carrying 8 6t. 2 lbs., beatitur 6 othrrs. In the same year wou the Hawkes Bay Stakes, 2 miles, iv 4 mius. 4. 1 , sees., beating Fishhook and tho Maori Weed.
