FIRE AT NGARUAWAHIA. (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.)

(from our own correspondent.) Noajehtawahia, Last Night. A fire broke out this afternoon at 3 o'clock, at Mr Jaggs' tailor The roof caught fire it is supposed from a tin chimney, which heated and ignited the shingles, which, owing to prolonged dryweather were dry as chips. The fire was firat discovered by Messrs. Oarpenter and Dickenson. Mr Carpenter went across to Davis store for ladders and buckets, while Dickenson and Brennan climbed up the baok and front of the house respectively, and with buckets handed from below, succeeded in speedily extinguishing the fire. House, which is the property of Mr Willoughby, is insured.
