At the Hay market, on Friday, be3t quality of fodder brought from 4a 91 to 5s 6d the owt ; ryegrass, 5s 31 to Gs 31 the bushel ; Tartarian oats. 33 7d to 3s lOd the bushel ; medium draught £'-5 to £25 ; heavy draught £16 each, and a Becond-hand buggy, £26. On Tuesday, hides brought from 2£ to 34 ; pelts, from id to 7d ; skins, 9d to Is 6d eaoh ; wool, in bales and bags, from oi to 6g the lb. At. Drury, on Wedneelay, a larger master of stock than usual met a steidy sale, at the following prices : Good cows, near calving, £8 to 12 10a; inferior, from £5 ; calves, from 27s to 52s j dry cows, £4 10s to £') 10s ; yeaalings, £3 2s 6d ; eighteen-months to two-years, £3 10s to £4 5s ; two to three-year-olds, £5; fat cattle, 27* the lOOlbs ; lamb*, 6s 6d to 10s 61 ; ewes, 9.4 to 10s each ; riding horses, from £25 to £16 10 etch. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were at late values ; best animals £10 to £12 eacb. Store cattle in larger number than of late, with inquiry at ate values. Fat cattle in fuller number than for two or three weeks, and slightely lower in value, particularly towards the conclusion of the sale. Prioes ranged from 26a for ordinary to 32s and 61 the lOOlbs for ohoioe small cattle. A few ' store sheep met with a good demand at 7s to 8s each, bat sheep ware in average number, but mostly ewes. Horses. — At the Durham Yards on Friday, competition was steady throughout, and one or two lot) which did not reach reserve were afterwards disposed of privately. Good draught horses were in brisk demand, and young stock of this description sold remarkably well. A thres-year-old filly was sold for £45. W e quote : Draught horses with trials from £35 to £47 10s ; medium draught, £33 ; Light harness horses, from £16 to £27 ; hacks, from £7 10* to £18. Cattle.- The market has be?n active, and prioes sstisf actor/ to vendors. We quote : Dairy cows, from £9 to £13 ; dry cows, £4 to £6 2i 6d ; oalves, 35s to £3 10j • yearlings £3 5s to £4 ; two-yeai-old steers, £4 10 1 to £5 ; three-year-old, £5 10s to £7 ; beef. 32s to 35s the 100' b. Sheep.— The snpply at Newmarket was very much smaller than on the previous week. Competition was steady, and prices were fully 2s per head higher.than the previous week, Lamba were not so plentiful as usual, and Bold at Is advance on last week's rates.
