[PRESS AQEITCY.I AUCKLAND, last night. In tho Police Court, Henry Black, alias Broome was committed to trial for stealing £9 from a settler, named Manuel Christian, at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. At the Board of Eeucation today, a letter was read from the Minister of Education, through Mr Hislop, stating that the work of the district was too much for one Inspector. The Board coincided with thia view, but said no money was available for payment of another. A letter also requested the Board not to Incur further liability on aQ' ounfc of school building* :
