RAGLAN. THE RAGLAN AND WAIPA ROAD.
, June 3, On dit that the long talked of Waipa road is at last to be commenced, under the superintendence of Mr Palmer. Natives are to be emploj'-ed ; the Raglan and Aotea natives are to commence falling bash ab the foot of the range, and the Waipa natives are to begin at the other end and work this way. It is proposed to have all the bush do'vn by spring, when the veal work of forming the road will be commenced. It is to be hoped that by next winter there will be a passable road between here and the Waikato. Riigian is rather hard up for provisions owing to the long unexpected absence of the Lalla Rookh steamer, which is supposed to make a trip here once a fortnight.; it is now six weeks since she was here. The natives here made great preparations to receive Tv Tawhiao,
