THE TE RORE FERRY.
Sib,— At a late meeting of the Hamilton Council repairs to the ferry were spoken of. One of the councillors was condescending enoug-h to recolleot that there existed wkh. a plaoe as Te Rore, and actually that it had a ferry, whioh he suggested should be brought to Hamilton. How one so brilliantly gifted should hare forgotten to propose the removal of our lovely mountain, whose crystal streams and sylvan slopes (to which he -would, be equally welcome) would be most advantageous to Hamilton, is one of. those things that no fellow can telLunless he is foolish enough to think that Waikato. was not made for Hamilton. I would suggest that theTe Rore settlera subsenbe.*)* a full length photograph of that councillor bearing a sketch of the ferry in.h^ hand, and with ears erect mildly browsing on. a thistle, with the legend " Happy thought graven on his manly brow. — I sm> * c m Change Foe a Pound.
