Skins and hidis wore in moderate quantity only, and without alteration in value. At the fair, on Wedmsday, all the entrirs advertised were brought forward, and with the exception of four bull*, each lot was sold at the auction. There were a numerous attendance of buyers, »nd every lot fairly competed for. Young cittle, particularly woll-bred heifers, sold at extreme values. Grown cattle »t usual rates ; buyers and tellers appeared equally pleased with the arrangements and results of the «alo. 837 head sold There will bo another fair held at the same place, on Saturday, November 11th. At tf einuora, on Thursday, dairy cows at profit were plentiful, of good quality, nnd in request, they brouaut from £0 to £9 5s each j a few store cattle penned, those were at lata values. Fat caitle in usual supply, 140 head penned. Bidding was dull through out the sale, best quality only BMlfc'lil by the butchers, for those 30i the 1001b* was unwillingly given, inferior nt 2ds, but those were mostly bought by the gruzicra, 106 only being purchased by the butchers. Sheep weie in lets than usual numbers, be*t quality freely competed for at late values, 3Jd the lb j inferior, dull of sale. Lambs numerous, best quality 12s to Iss ; inferior from 4s »nd upwards. Fat calves short of requirement, and at extreme values.
