I cannot but believe you mttit bar* had your own .personal feeling in the matter, ilod not only i» great credit due to the journal for not throwing in its weight on Delililf of whicherer candidate's side it naturally leaned to, but for throwing its correspondence columns impartially open to writers on both sides. As one who has nddressed to you several Jetters, and not as I hare reason to th*nk very much in accordance with your own view» on the election, 1 have the more reason to acknowledge the courtesy and fair play of the Wjueito Timks. If we huve been beaten we have been beaten fairly and have certainly carried our colours off th« field without dishonor.— l am, <Le, ObbeEVJCR JSg«ruawahta, January 12tb, 1876.
