SUPERINTENDENT'S OFFICE , Auckland, September 19, 187 k T'T is hereby notified, for public information, that intelligence has been received of the departure of 281 Immigrants for this Province per ship Zealandia (shortly expected to arrivo). and of a further number of 760 Immigrants per ships Hydaspes and Assaye in iugust last. The Chairmen of the several Highway Boards, and other pei sons requiring Labour in the country districts— more particularly in the Settlements on tho East Coast— are invited to make application to the Olficer in charge of the Ccntial Immigration Depot at Auckland for such tradesmen and labourers as they may desire to obtain, for •whom Free Passages will be provided to any port within the Province. Inasmuch as Free jPassages can only be provided for such Immigrants as are actually engaged for service, it will be necessary that applicants should attend, either by accredited agents, at the Auckland Depot, to make their own selection from the Immigrants on ariival.
