The rumour regaining the loss of the Queen of Nations is being traced by a reporter to the passengers per Loch Awe, who mistook the statement made to them in reference to the loss of the British Admit al new Melbourne, as referring to a wreck near Auckland. The charge against Brown of incendiarism occupied the Police Court all day. Detective Jeffrey was the only witness examined. His evidence was similar to that of Broham's. The case is not concluded. The Victoria, s.s., lias arrived. She left Sydney on the 22nd.
