WELLINGTON.
Thetbird annual report of the Commissioner of Annuities has been published ; it shows that in the year ending June last, 1400 proposals of insurance were received for sums amounting in the aggregate to i' 547,800. Three hundred and nine were rejected, representing £120,750. The gross annual revenue of the department has been increased by £16 429. There were only nine claims on the fund, amounting to £2800. The aceouuts show a disputed claim of £2000.
