CRICKET.
The following Cricket MatcL was played in the Government Paddock, Cambridge, on Saturday, the 18th inst., between eleven settlers and eleven of the Armed Constabulary, which terminated in a victory for the settlers by 17 runs. The acorea were not large owing to the splendid bowling of Messrs A, R. Cox and W. Pilling for the settlers, and tint of W. j Bond for the Constabulary. Mr C. Wood carried his bat out in the second innings for a well played 18, and also Carloton on the Constabulary side for 20 r which was certainly the j prettiest bit of cricket that has been seen for some time in the Waikato.
