Ngaruawahia. THE Town of Ngarnawahia District Board hereby notify that they have ordered from Auckland a number of ornamental trees and shrubs. They will be prepared to distribute them free of expense to any householder subject to certain conditions. Produce not sold at the Market before 11 a.m. may be afterwards disposed of in the City, tho owner hawng received authority from the Market Inspector. Any person Tlawking Marketable Commodities in tho City on Market days before 11 a.m. will be subject to a penalty in accordance with By-law of the City Council. Sale of £50,000 New Zealand Government Four per Cent. Debentures. A PPLICATIONS are invited for the purchase of the -"- whole or any portion of Fifty Thousand New Zealand Government Debentures. These Debentures will be issued under the " Immigration and Public Works Loan Act, 1870." and will be sold at £90 10s per cent. The Debentures will have a currency of forty years from the loth April, 1873, and Mill be in sums of One Hundred Pounds each, bearing interest at Four per Cent., payable half-yearly, on tho 13th April and 15th October in each year. Tile Debentuies will be allotted in the order of application, and will be delivered to the purchaser on payment of the purchase money, with accrued interest from loth April. Colonial Secretary's Office, Wellington, 22nd July, 1873. TN compliance with a Resolution of the House of Representatives, passed on the 22nd October, 1872, a Bonus is hereby offered for the encouragement of certain Colonial Industries, namely : — IRON. Bonus of £5.000. For the production in New Zealand of 1,000 tons weight of Pig Iron, of marketable quality. <'«'M)ITIONS. 1. The bonus nnt to be en for any quantity less than 100 tons. 2. Notice of the intention to erect iron works and claim the bonus must be given to the Colonial Secretary before 31st December, 1873. 3. The bonus must be claimed before 30th June, 1875. 4. In the event of more than one claimant gi\ ing such notice, not more than seven-tenths of the bonus may be claimed by the first producer, and not more than three-tenths by 'the second producer ; but if only one claimant becomes a producer on the above conditions, he may claim the whole of the bonus. 5. The iron in respect of which any bonus is claimed will be examined by an officer to be appointed by the Government, who may require the production of bond fide account sales of quantities not less than 100 tons weight, showing that such iron has been sold at a fair market price as Pig Iron. SUGAR. Bonus of £2,000. ,For tho production of 250 tons of Sugar manufactured from Beetroot in New Zealand. Conditions. 1. Notice of the intention to claim this bonus must be given to the Colonial Secretary before 31st December, 1873. 2. Claims for payment of the bonus to be sent in before 30th June, 1875. 3. The bonus will be paid to the producer who first effects a bond fide sale of the amount of sugar specified. FISH. Bonus of 4s per'Cwt, This bonus will be paid on cured fish, dry or pickled, exported from the colony for consumption abroad. Conditions. 1. The bonus will be paid to the producer on the production of account sales showing that the fish has been sold (nit of the colony for fair market value. 2. The exporter to enter into a bond not to reland in the colony any fish on which a bonus has been paid. 3. The bonus may bo claimed on all fish exported between Ist August, 1872, and Ist November, 1879, and is to be paid out of any meneys appropriated by Parliament for the purpose. The above rewards will be paid on the certificate of an officer appointed by Government, that the conditions applicable to each reward have been complied with. DANIEL POLLEN.
