Mr Alfred Buckland Reports :— On Friday last, foddpr Wtis in full supply, and met with a steady s.ile at last week's pi ices. Chaff brought .">s Od cwt; maize, f>B the bushel At l'apakura, on Wednesday, 13.5 head of c.vttle were penned, b'oi cows in low condition the sale was duJl, but for all other descuptioiis of stock there was a steady demand at full pi ices, lutes forf.it cattle were — cows and heifeis, £G 15s to 19 10s, or about 28s the lOOlbs; young cows near calving. £.> to £7 ; calves, 11 7s (id to £2 8s ;15 months old steeis. £3 12s (id each. AtKemuera. on '1 luusday, dairy cows were in excess of demand. Store cattle oilered in limited numbeis ; they were all of good qualitj. Fat sheep in hmi.il supply, 501) penned. I'igs were in moderate nnmbeus and better worth. The following prices were obtained : — Daily cows, £5 to £9 ; dry cows, from £3 to £4 .Is ; \ callings, £2 I. "is ; two yenr old steers, £3 las to £o :fls;"fat cattle, 26a to 28a the 1001b; longwoolled and half-bred ewes, 22s each ; mixed sheep, m low condition, 6s to 9s each ; longwoolled hoggets, 21s each.
