As the name of the Company implies, it is the intention to mako it principally a settler's undertaking, and with that view, the Company is to be formed in £1 shares, so that all residents may be able to join, thereby securing to tho Company the whole of the river traffic, and consequently, to themselves a remunerative investment. The Directors anticipate that the Shares will be fully subscribed for, andopeiations commenced within six months and that not more than 10s. per share will be called up satisfactory banking arrangements having been made. It is proposed to build a powerful steamer suitable for he requirements of tho rive>*, at an estimated cost of £500 C ; also several barges and Goods' Dep6ts. Arrangements have been made for a supply of Coal at Ralph's Mine, at the rate of 10s. per ton, for a term of years. The Waikato Flax Company are willing to run their steamer, now being built, in connection with the Company, or if desirable, amalgamate the same with it. The Oilice of the Company is to be in Auckland, with a Manager in Waikato, under the direction of a Local Committee. The Provisional Directors to hold office for Six Months om date, when a Q-encral Meeting of Shareholders will bo called to elect a Directory.
