Waikato Militia and Volunteer Office, Hamilton 25th February, 187.3 rjIIIE Annual competition for the Distnct Prizes will -*- take place at the liange, East llannnnlton, on Monday, the 10th day of Maidi next, at 10 a m. Militia of the Ist anil 2nd Classes— or those of the 3rd Class who have retained their aims — who arc desirous of competing, will be good enough to send in their names to the Militia and Volunteer Office, on or befoie the date and hour above named. The highest suoicr m the Ist Set in each Province will be entitled to a Silver Medal. The follow ing Sets of Prizes are to be fired for in this District :— Ist Skt. Ranges, 200, 500, and 600 yards. Five (5) shots at each range. Position, 200 yards, standing ; 500 and 600 yards, any. Targets, 200 yards, 6x4 feet ; centre, 4x2 feet : bull'seye, 2xl feet . 500 and 600 yards, 6x6 feet ; centre, 4x4 feet ; bull'seye, 2xl feet. • 2nd Set. Ranges, 200, 400 and 500 yards. Five shots at each range. Position. 200 yards, standing ; 400 and 500 yards, any. Targets, 200 yards, 6x4; centre, 4x2; bull's-eye, 2xl feet. 400 and 500 yards, 6x6 feet ; centre, 4x4 feet ; bull'seye, two feet square.
