IN compliance with the recommendation contained m the Ropoi I of the Joint Committee on Colonial Industries, 1872, to the etlect that a bonus ot £2,500 should be ollered for the first 100 tons of Printing- Paper produced by Machinery, snoh bouus to be m addition to any that may be offered by any Province, it js hereby notified that such reward will be paid on the fulfilment of tho following Conditions. The Paper to be manufnclurcd m New Zealand by machinery permanently established, aud working in the Colouj'. The required quantity to be competed before the 30th June, 187+ The rew ard will be paid on the certificate of an officer to be appointed by the Government that tho above couditioni have been comphod with.

Bonus or £5,000. For the production in Now Zealand of 1,000 tons weight of Pig Iron, of Marketable qua'ity. ' Conditions. 1. The bonus not to be given for nny quantity less tliau 100 tons. 2 Notice of tho intention to erect Iron Works and claim the bonus must be given to the Colonial Secretary before the 31st December, 1873. 3 Tho bonus must be claimed before the 30th Juno 1875. 4. In the event of-tiore than one claimant giving such notice, not moro than seven-tenths of the bonus may be claimed by the first producer,, and not more than tarcctenths by thd second producer ; but if only one claimant becomes a producer on the aboA c conditions, he .may claim the wtiole of the bonus. I 5. The Iron m respect of which any bonus is claimed will be examined by an oflirer to bo appointed by the Government who may require the production of Jo/fat^/tf'account ' sales of quantities not less than 100 tons weight, show ing that such Iron has been sold at a fair market price as- Pig Iron. Claims for payment of the bonus must bo sent in before 31st December, 1874 4 The bonus will bo paid to the producer who effects tho fir3t bonajide sale of tho amount of Printing Paper specified. FISH. Bo.vus of 4s. per Civr. This bouus will be be paid on Cured Fish, dry or pickled, exported from tho colony for consumption abroad. Conditions. 1. The bonus will be paid to the producer on tho production of account Miks showing that the Fi->h has beoiibold out of the Colony for fair market vnluc. 2. The exporter to enter into a bond not to reland in the Colony any Fish on winch a bonus has been paid. 3. The bouus may be claimed on aIJ Fish exported be tween Ist November, 1872, and Ist November, 1379-, and is to be paid out of nil moneys appropi ialcd for that purpose The above rewards will be paid on tho certificate of an ofTcer appointed by Government that the conditions applicable to each reward have been complied with.
