Chbistius Pudding.—Suet -1-Vlb, minced small ; currants, lj lb; raisins, stoned, ilb : sugar, lib ; ten l eggs,.a grated nutmeg; 2 ozs of citron and lemon peel; loz of mi\ed spices, ateaspoonful of grated ginger, H'b of breadcrumbs, Mb of flour, 1 pint of milk, and a wineglassful of brandv. "Beat first the eggs, and half the milk, beat all together, and gradually stir in all the milk, then the suet,, fruit, &c, and as much milk to mix it very thick. Boil m a cloth six or seven hours. Another:—Flour, suet, currants, raisins, of each lib; nine eggs; 2ozs of canded peel; almonds and spices, according to taste. Bod in a cloth six or seven hours. .-,■ ■•, The Canterbury Flax Association will receive by this mail a piece of cloth and weft yarn made from some flax they sent home. We may add that as the fibre in question was not sufficiently fine, Mr Forbes used some of Mr Thome s prepared Sew Zealand flax for making the warp. The result was some, capital cloth suitable for sacking purposes, as our friends in Canterbury will have an opportunity of judging. The same package also contains a piece of cloth made from, fibre prepared by Mr Thorne. Mr Forbes spares no trouble to prOTO the usefulness-of this fibre for textile fabrics.
