Mr. C. M. Palmer sends us (the Times) the followingextract fom a letter be has received from superintendent of the line of Italian mail steamers between Venice, Bnndisi, and Alexandria " The Captain of Principe Carignano, when about ten miles distant from the Digue, was surprised by an eruption in the sea bottom.
