NEWCASTLE DISTRICT BOARD. THE Resident Occupiers of Land in tliis District are hereby informed that the Fees for depasturing Cattle during the current year under Clause 23 of the Auckland Waste Lands Act, IS7U," must be paid to Mr George Little, Hanger and Pound-keeper, on or before 30th November, 1572. After that date, all unregistered cattle will be impounded. Each Resident Occupier is allowed to depasture one horse or one head of neat cattle above six months old for each ten acres of land Occupied by liiin in the district, on payment of One Shilling per Head per annum The attention of occupiers of land is particularly called to the following clause of the Impounding Act. — I "It shall not be lawful foT anyperson to suffer any Entire Cattle above the age' of six months belonging to him, or tinderhis charge", to be at large ; and any person so offending shall, on conviction thereof before a Justice of the Peace, forfeit and pay for every such head of qattle, any sum not exceeding Five Pounds, without prejudice to any claitn for the damages doue by any sucli entire cattle. And it shall be lawful for any person to seize and impound such' entire cattle in the nearest public pound, there to be detained until released or otherwise disposed of by due course of law.''
