Correspondance.

Wc da not necessarily endorse opinions expressed by our correspondents.] (To tk<i Editor of the Wcukato Times.) Sir, —Some time ago you gave a partial report of a public meeting held at Ohaupo, to form a society to be called "The Waikato Agricultural Association," aiul to appoint a committee to carry on the operations of the association, said committee to conwist of two members from each ot + { ie rtoad Board districts. I say your report was only a partial one becauso it did not mention that immediately after the rules of the society passed, iue committee appointed, it was proposed, seconded, and carried ■unnmitmiafy, that the society's shuwo should be held annually according to their alphabetical order at the four places agreed upon, viz., Alexandra. Cambridge, Hamilton, and Te Ywamutu. The President convened a meeting of the committee to be held at Ohaupo on the lOth insfc. xVs one of the members chosen to represent Alexandra, t attended the meeting. After some business had been got through, the question was coolly brought forward as to whether the first show was to be held in East or Wcot Hamilton. Sir, I make no rem .irk on the above, farther than if Hamilton (East or West) comes a;^\a 1 •• otically before Alexandra, we have much to vn-h'\rn. T have no love seeing my n una. in print, but I purposely avoid using the veil of a /turn deplume because I can get a hundred settle.s to prove what I have stated. I trust that, in a spirit of f airplay you will insert no answer to my letter (should it be thought worthy of a reply) that has not uo name of th« writer appended.—l am, kc., Gordon Y. Tisdall. Alexandra, 10th July, IST'-.
