CATTLE MARKET.
Mi:. Alfred d's Report.—At Remuera, ou Thursday, dairy cattle were well represented. There was a steady demand at previous values. Young cattle, pariicularly calves, were in better request, (frown store steers were penned in moderate numbers, and were at lower values. Fat cattle were in fall supply—l.M penned ; prices showed some improvement over last week's rates. JStore sheep we. ein request at extreme values. Fat sheep were iu average numbers -above live hundred penned ; prices were higher about Is. per hear'. Fig:i were very numerous—about 140 sold ; prices were equable throughout, the sale. The following are the prices obtained :—Bast dairy cows, 9.' 15s to 12/ l.»s; aged and iuferior animals, fi'oin 61 10s ; dry cows, fro.n 52s 6d ; calves, 22s ticl to JiSrs; two to threeyear old steers, 5i to bl 12s ; fat cattle, 2.s to 27s (id the lOOlbs ; fat steep, 4d the lb. : store longwool'ed wethers, 17s i> 1 each ; pigs, the lb.
