'1 RIVERTON P.W.M.U. The monthly meeting of the Riverton Branch of the P.W.M.U. was heJd last Friday afternoon, Mrs E. H. Gray presiding over the following members: Mesdames E. V. Rose, L. Stuart, E. B. Patrick, T. Stringer, W. Whittingham, A. Pro van, T. Hogg, A. Evans, J. A. F. Watson, J. W. Martin, H. E. Philp, C. B. Matthewson and Miss Birch. Arrangements were made for the annual bring and buy sale to be held \ in the Sunday School Hall on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 23rd. 28 pairs of spectacles were handed in, also 5 pram covers, and these are to he forwarded to the New Hebrides Mission. ; , The president advised that the usual parcels of left-off clothing were to be forwarded to the Maori Missions in May, and any contributions would be gratefully received. Also that goods for the Orphanage Boxes would be forwarded to the Invercargill Homes at the end of the month. The Otaitai Bush members are making arrangements to hold a sale next month, and the secretary was instructed to write and thank them for their effort and the keen interest they are taking in this work.
