OBITUARY

A MR A. H. KIRK. j Quite ft gloom was cast over the district when it became known that Mr A. 11. Kirk, of Gummies Busily had passed away. Though Mr Kirk had not been in the best of health for some short time, his passing came as a great shock. He was of a cheery and kindly disposition with n,n unfailing fund of sympathy and helpfulness, and was highly respected by all wh 0 knew him. As his remains were slowly taken to his last resting-place, a mark of respect was shown, as all the places of business closed while the cortege wended its way through Eivcrton. Ho leaves to mourn his loss his wife and family—four sons and daughters for whom the greatest sympathy is felt in the district.
