A sensational anonymous botfc published today by Macaulay and Com . pany, a reputable publishing company, jMfcteclares that Herr Hitler was murdered Jss^ n the eve of the historic conference at Munich last September and that a "double" has bee n impersonating the Fuhrer ever since. The book, which bears the title ."Strange Death of Adolf Hitler," says that Herr Hitler ate a poisoned omelette on September 28. The story is not aigned, but the publisher's foreword says it is a translation of a manuscript, smuggled out of Germany and written by Maximilian Bauer, who allegedly &ua an amazing resemblance to Herr Hitler.
