A new phase of the Arab terrorist campaign is the blowing up of main ioads and culverts in north Palestine, for which action the town of Sha.fa.amer has been,fined £7OO. Military, officials have warned the headmen in villages around Hebron that if information about the whereabouts of the missing Royal Air Force pilot, Harold Packer, is- not given by this evening, the villages will be destroyed. Grave anxiety is felt for a Royal Air Force pilot who was forced down on the Jeiusalem-Hebron road. It is believed that he was wounded and lost in the undergrowth.
