Bill: Well, 'e was walking along through his wotsername, and' he tripped over that there tlring-a-me-bob 'e's got, and broke his wotcliacallet! Mr. Hayseed: Well, well, I knew he had had an accident, but that's the hrst time I've heard all the details. CONSOLATION. 'Mamma,' said little Joan, 'please button my dress. \ 'Please do it yourself,' dear,' was 'the reply; 'mother's busy.' 'Oh, dear!' exclaimed' Joan. 'I don't know what I would do without myself!' , IT'S DONE WITH A TELESCOPE 'Vou say you know the plaintiff's reputation, and you know it to bo anything but good V 'Yes, I do:' ( 'Then tell the, jury, on your oath, ' what reasons you have for making such a. .statement.'
'Well, 1 can say on oath that I havo met this man,in places where I would be ■ashamed to be seen!'
