OBITUARY

/ \ MRS ROSS ROBERTSON.

A very old and esteemed resident of .the district passed away at her son-in-law's residence, Gropers Bush, on Wednesday in the person of Mrs Rossi Robertson, in her 82nd year. The late Mrs Robertson was a. daughter of Mr John Cameron, of Nokomai Station, and he was among the first settlers to take up land there. . Arriving in Victoria, in 1850 he came out to New Zealand five years later, and purchased an interest in the Mount Hendon Station, later acquiring Mt. Linton, which he sold; to the late Mr Clark and then took up land at Nokomai. The late Mrs Ross Robertson was married there, and left with her husband for Riverton, where they resided for many years l .* During her residence here Mrs> Robertson made many friends. On the death of her husband she resided with her son in Central Otago, and for the past six months lived at Gropers Bush. She leaves two sons, viz. Mr C. Robertson and Mr Ross Robertson. Her daughter, Mrs J. Reidie, ■ died some few years ago. ' [
