RIVERTON ATHENAEUM
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the above was held in the Athenaeum room on Monday evening, Mr J. A. C. Mackenzie presiding over a moderate attendance. The balance-sheet presented by the Treaisurer showed that the funds of the library were in a healthy state. It showed receipts to be £228 lis 9d, including a balance of, £27 10s carried forward from the previous year, and expenditure £233 10s 4d,' leaving a credit of £22 lis lid. During the year the sum of £6O 11© 4d had been expended on books and £26 4s lOd on papers and magazines. The following office-bearers were elected for'the ensuing year;— President —Mr J. A. C. Mackenzie. Vice-president—Mr C. B. Matthewson, Secretary—Mr Jno Crawford. Treasurer—Mr A. D. Angus. Committee—Messrs A, G. Dooley, A. E. Ward, A. N. Murray, M. McKone and Mrs Gunnion. The. Librarian was voted a bonus cf £5.
