RIVERTON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

® *. BIBLE CLASS SALE OF WORK FOR MISSIONS. Last Wednesday the Presbterian Bible Classes held their second Sale of Work for missions. The sale proved a successful one, and the sum of £2O 6s was raised. This sum added to the other mission funds, has afforded . a very satisfactory quota for the Parish for the year 1935-36. The stalls were under the control of the different Classes, and were as follows :

Produce Stall : Intermediate Girls Class. Fancy Work Stall: Gropers Bush Class ' '

Cake Stall; Gropers Bush Class. Flowers : Junior Girls’ Class Sweets Stall : Intermediate Boys’

Class. Tea Rooms : Senior Girls Class. In the evening the function of the opening of the mission boxes was car. lied out in conjunction with the sale. A very enjoyable programme was given by the Riverton Senior aiul Junior and Gropers Bush choirs, and Miss I. Harrington, President of the Western Southland Young Women’s Bible Class Union delivered a very able and instructive address on the Foreign Mission work of the Church. At the close of the programme supper was handed round to all present. The amount raised from the mission boxes proved a further very satisfactory amount for the missionary budget of the Parish.
