LABOUR CABINET “•A STRONG TEAM.” MR SAVAGE INTERVIEWED. WELLINGTON, December 4. In an interview, Mr M. J. Savage expressed personal satisfaction at th)£> manner in which the members of his party had acted. During the sitting of the caucus it had become evident to him that the Labour Party had a remarkably strong team and th© work of government could safely he entrusted to them.

“When a. Cabinet is selected,” said Mr Savage, “one would expect those who were left out—and some must of necessity be left out—to experience a •sells©.of disappointment, but there was no evidence of this at the caucus when! I announced my team. There was a great spirit of unanimity which augurs well for the future of the Government party. I was greatly impressed with the calibre of the men who will assist Labour to put its policy into effect.” PORTFOLIOS ANNOUNCED. ... WELLINGTON, December 5. Mr M. J. Savage received a call from': Major A. D. Purvis, of the Governor--General’s staff, about 10.50 a.m., and! immediately accompanied him to Government House. He was back at Parliament Buildings shortly before 11.30, and then announced the members of his Ministry as follows:
