RIVERTON v. OREPUKI. In continuation of the Western District Sub-centre inter-elub fixtures the Riverton Club met Orepuki on the latter’s green on Wednesday evening and in a close-fought game ran out winners by a narrow margin. The local Cl ill) was not at full strength a s a number were prevented by business reasons' from travelling. M r J. Cullen, president, welcomed the visitors, hoping that they had enjoyed th© game, and alsol stating that the Orepuki Club had a| brighter future before it as a number! of young players wer e showing consideij able promise.
