Kluding liis guanl s in the prison exercise yard. he scaled a 20ft wall and' escaped across an allotment. He then ran into the main road, jumped on a bicycle which he found by the side of the herb, and made a desperate dash out of the town. An hour and a-quart.er later he was arrested by Pol ice-Sergeant Longman at l’fjpham, near lh/sincsjnhe.
